JOYCE M. HODGES

Joyce M. Hodges, 85, of Lake Geneva, and formerly of Genoa City, died March 12, 2012 at Arbor Village in Lake Geneva.

The former Joyce Marie Kolze was born on Sept. 2, 1926, in Des Plaines, IL., to the late Raymond and Ethel (Schroeder) Kolze.

On Jan. 1, 1946, in Long Beach, Calif., she married Lawrence E. Hodges. They lived in Mt. Prospect, Ill., Des Plaines, Ill., Genoa City, and Janesville, before she moved to Arbor Village.

Joyce and her husband owned and operated Larry Hodges Realty in Twin Lakes from 1964 until 1994. She attended the 1st Congregational United Church of Christ in Genoa City. She was a member of the Genoa City Garden Club and a former member of the Twin Lakes Businessmen’s Association. She enjoyed reading.

Joyce is survived by a daughter, Laurel (Thomas) Adams, of Twin Lakes; three grandchildren Lindsey, Matthew and Rebecca; three great-grandchildren-Ella, Norah and Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence on May 6, 2000; a son, Michael and a brother-David Kolze.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, at Hillside Cemetery in Genoa City with the Rev. Tom Porter officiating.
