Lakewood School District Administrator Joe Price and other school officials delivered a presentation at the 2017 Wisconsin Association of School Convention Jan. 19 in Madison.

The presentation illustrated growth within and achievement within the district, according to an email sent by Price.

“The work we are doing as a district is showing great promise that will benefit our students for many years to come,” Price wrote.

Price, along with the school’s Director of Curriculum Instruction Sara Markee explained the continuous school improvement model.

“Systems alignment for continuous school improvement is similar to strategic planning,” he states. “A major difference is that this philosophy calls for continual analysis and adjustment.”

Price reports that while strategic plans are five years, when the process is restarted, the continuous improvement model is adjusted annually.

The continuous improvement, Price states, is a testament to the Lakewood faculty and staff.

“The work we have completed is a direct credit to our entire staff who are fully committed to this endeavor,” he wrote. “We look forward to our continual growth and are highly confident that our students will greatly benefit from the work we are doing.”
