Scramble the links with Westosha hoops

Golf fundraiser set for Aug. 5

The Westosha Central High School boys basketball program plans to hold an 18-hole golf scramble August 5 at Bristol Oak Country Club, with proceeds to benefit the team, according to a flyer.

With a 10 a.m. shotgun start, golfers hitting the links are eligible for prizes, including the longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.

Additionally, the fundraiser looks to award teams based on placement after the scramble.

Costs to play are $80 per golfer, and includes a cart, unlimited range balls and lunch at the turn.

Following the round, participants are invited to attend a fundraiser at the Sandlots of Salem, 9251 Antioch Road from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

For businesses looking to add their name to the event, the Westosha basketball program is accepting $100 sponsorship donations, which includes their logo on display at the event.
