Irene (Bennett) Everett, 85, of Union Grove, died peacefully at home March 21, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 13, 1926 to the late William and Ellen (Wilkes) Bennett in Bristol.
She was very proud of her Welsh heritage. She was well known as one of the cake ladies of Union Grove and very involved in the Union Grove Area Food Bank.
In her early years, she was active in minor league baseball in the area, an avid bowler, and she loved canning and crocheting.
Survivors include her children, Nancy (Jim) Caminiti, Union Grove, Peggy (Gary) Gilbreath, Seymour, Jan (Rod) Janes, Delavan, Jim (Lynn) Everett, Jefferson, Bill (Debbie) Everett, Waukesha; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; special friends Kenny and Darleen Peterson; other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her husband, Lester, and daughter, Sharon.
Funeral services were March 24, at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home, Union Grove. The Rev. Sue Leigh officiated.
