Tennis registration now open

The Town of Salem, in partnership with the Western Kenosha County Tennis Association, is offering a tennis program for adults. There will be two sessions of instruction offered:

• Wednesday June 13, 20, 27 July 11, 18, 25, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Central High school tennis courts, 24617 75th Street, Salem. Cost is $45.

• Saturday June 2, 9, 16, 23 July 14, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Central High School Tennis Courts Cost: $45. Resident $50 Non-Resident

No equipment is needed. Wear tennis shoes and bring water. Because of the hot weather, it’s also advised that you wear sunscreen and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. Be sure to check out this radrackets article on the best sunglasses for tennis as normal ones will just fall off.

Registration for Salem residents for the program is now open and will take place at Town Hall, 9814 Antioch Road, Salem, and will continue until May 26.

Non-residents may register from May 27 through June 1. An applications which can be printed out by logging on to the town’s website, www.townofsalem.net and follow the prompts.
