In this week’s Twin Lakes Report…

Scorching heat did not deter some area residents from attending the annual Libertyfest parade in downtown Twin Lakes last weekend, when the Aquanuts returned to their home of Lake Mary, which had been closed due to a slow no wake order.

This week’s Twin Lakes Report will also have articles on the following items:

MASSIVE BLAZE: More than 80 departments from multiple counties responded to mutual aid requests in Racine County, where John’s Disposal experienced a structure fire last weekend.

HOMELESSNESS: The annual homeless count scheduled for July conducted by volunteers will offer the county a snapshot of what the matter looks like in area municipalities. There is also a feature on one local person who overcome homelessness.

RESCUE RANGER: A local woman has made it her mission to rehabilitate injured animals.

STRAWBERRY PINCH: The recent extreme weather put a pinch at area strawberry farms.

The Report hit subscribers mailboxes on Thursday and Friday, in addition to area newsstands.
