Things are hoping at the Twin Lakes Chamber of Commerce.
First up is the annual all-village garage sale, set for May 18, 19 and 20. There is no charge to participate but if you would like your sale listed on the Chamber’s web site, call 877-2220. A paper list will also be available at the Chamber for those who want to plot their course of action the days of the sales.
How does your garden grow? The Chamber is launching a Garden Gate community project this year to tie into Libertyfest. Organizations, schools or businesses are needed to create/paint a garden gate. The completed project is due to the Chamber office by Monday, May 21.
The completed Garden Gates will be placed at area business for the community to admire and pick their favorite one. The winner will receive a monetary award. The Garden Gates will then be auction off. Businesses may also choose to sponsor a “Garden Gate.”
Little Miss Libertyfest
New this year, a Little Miss Libertyfest Pageant will take place on Friday, June 29, during the first day of Libertyfest at Lance Park.
Applications are available in the Chamber office or on the Chamber website. There are a limited number of entries so get your applications in as soon as possible. This is open to the entire area.
Cardboard boat races
The popular Cardboard Boat Races will take place on Saturday, June 30. Kits and entry forms are available in the Chamber office.
Sweet music
The Twin Lakes Idol Contest will take place on Saturday, June 30. Choose your favorite three or four songs to participate in this year’s contest. Forms are available in the Chamber office at the Chamber website.
Animal lovers
PawFest will be back again this year for our four-legged friends. Entry forms will also be available in the Chamber office or at the Chamber website soon.
And finally, remember the annual golf outing date has been changed due to a conflict. The Outing has been changed from June 6 to Wednesday, June 20.
