It appears the Waterford boys golf team is going to be the team to beat in the Southern Lakes Conference all spring.

And in the same breath, it looks like Westosha Central has a firm grip on second.

For the second straight meet, the Falcons finished second to the Wolverines, this time in an SLC meet last Tuesday afternoon at the Evergreen Golf Course, Elkhorn.

Waterford won the 18-hole meet with a 322, followed by Central with a 354, Burlington with a 357 and Wilmot with a 365. The remaining team scores were unavailable.

Central’s Mark LaMeer and Wilmot’s James Rawlins led their respective teams, as each posted scores of 83.

Luke Millhouse was next for Central with an 88, followed by Mike Fenske with a 90, John Lynch with a 93 and Brett Wagner with a 97.

Next for the Panthers behind Rawlins were Trey Turner with an 88, Grant Sullivan and Justin White with a 96 and Mike Knapp with a 109.
