Central host families sought for exchange students

Westosha Central High School families can host two foreign exchange students starting in the fall.

Carrie Schulz, of the Nacel Open Door Student Exchange Programs, said families must have a connection to Westosha Central and chose one or both exchange students looking to attend the school.

The first exchange student, a 16-year-old boy from France, needs a host family at Westosha Central.

“He loves football, automotive, movies, travel, snowboarding, field hockey, scouting, tennis, volleyball and more,” Schulz said.

Schulz said the French exchange student will pay expenses, has medical insurance, and speaks English.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old girl from Spain wants to attend Westosha Central in 2021-22.

According to Schulz, she speaks French, German, Spanish and English.

“She is a good student, and loves basketball, football, skiing, clubs and travel,” Schulz said. “She loves dogs, and is very sociable.”

For more information, including how to host one or both students, contact Schulz at 414-899-3890 or [email protected].

The deadline is Aug. 31 to submit an interest in supporting either foreign exchange student.
