Girls soccer: Central produces consecutive shutouts

The Falcons bounced back in a big way last week after they experienced their first Southern Lakes Conference loss of the season.

Westosha Central, which fell 3-2 in a tightly contested meeting with Elkhorn on April 26, responded by outscoring opponents 20-0 in the next four girls soccer contests to bring its record to 10-2-1 overall and 3-1-1 in conference play through Monday.

The four most recent soccer contests, meanwhile, include a perfect performance at an invitational hosted by Walworth Big Foot High School on Saturday, April 30.

The performance consisted of defeating Catholic Memorial, 1-0, Big Foot/Williams Bay, 7-0, followed by a 2-0 route of Sugar River.

Against Sugar River, the Falcons posted goals in both the first and second half, coming away with a 2-0 shutout.
Westosha Central received goals from Maddie Haubrich and Kiley Cummings while Alyssa Klementzos contributed an assist against Sugar River (6-1-1, 3-0 Capitol Conference).
Keeper Lola Minic finished with 10 saves to secure the shutout for the Falcons.

Westosha Central 7, Big Foot/Williams Bay 0
The Falcons garnered at least one goal from five players, including three from Cummings, in their 7-0 defeat of Big Foot/Williams Bay (2-4-3, 2-1-1 Rock Valley Conference.
The Falcons, who led 3-0 at halftime, extended their advantage with four goals in the second half.
In addition to Cummings, Reese Harrison (goal), Caroline Hill (goal, two assists), Talia DeBartolo (goal, two assists), Jordan Rosciolo (goal), Lola Minic (two assists), and Gianna Mandli (assist) contributed in the effort.

Westosha Central 1, Catholic Memorial 0
Westosha Central and Catholic Memorial entered halftime in a scoreless stalemate.

But in the second half, the Falcons found the net, with Harrison knocking in a goal assisted by Haubrich.

Catholic Memorial, as of Monday, is 2-3-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the Classic Eight Conference.

Westosha Central 10, Shoreland Lutheran 0
Meanwhile, on April 27 at Shoreland Lutheran, the Falcons blanked the Pacers 10-0 behind a well-balanced offensive attack led by Cummings’ hat trick.

Cummings, who netted three goals, also contributed assists in three others in the 10-0 romp of Shoreland Lutheran.

Hill and Anastasia Sdralis, meanwhile, each contributed two goals while Haubrich, Harrison and Klementzos each contributed one.

Haubrich added three assists.

The Falcons garnered assists from Klementzos and Roscioli.
