Farmer’s Market opens June 22 in Silver Lake

The Silver Lake Citizens for Growth will unveil its Farmer’s Market on Friday, June 22.

The Farmer’s Market will be held 4 to 7 p.m. in Schmalfeldt Park. The Farmer’s Market will be held the first and third Friday of each month beginning with the June 22 kick off.

The only exception is that during the Fireman’s Festival over Fourth of July weekend, when it will be held as a Street Sale on Saturday.

Vendors are being sought. Crafts, salsa, produce are all welcome. There are county and state restrictions concerning homemade edibles. The cost is $10 a week, and subject to availability with seasonal vendors having priority, $50 for half the season and $50 if you book the entire season.

There are 10 dates, so the best value is the seasonal choice with each week discounted to $5.

Upcoming dates include Fridays: July 20, Aug. 3. Aug. 17, Aug. 31, Sept. 7, Sept. 21, Oct. 5 and Oct. 19.

Contact Jo Lasdasky, at (262) 889-4313 for more information, including requirements for homemade items.
