Get your fest on! Libertyfest opens tonight

It all starts tonight. Libertyfest grounds at Lance Park in Twin Lakes opens at 5 p.m.

Tonight will be a teaser of things to come Saturday, says organizers. Movie in the Park begins at dusk with “Puss in Boots.” This free event is held every other Friday in the amphitheater. Dress for outdoors and bring bug spray. In case of rain the show goes on in the Scout House, adjacent to the outdoor seating.

Friday night the award-winning Aquanuts will perform the first of two evening shows at Lance Park.

Games, various vendors beer tent will be open. On Saturday, June 30, the county’s largest Fourth of July parade will step off at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30 and head down Legion Drive concluding at Lance Park.

Saturday is jam-packed with events such as the cardboard boat races at 1 p.m., followed by Twin Lakes Idol contest, PawFest, bingo and the Aquanuts and fireworks at dusk.

There will be a variety of food and beverages to enjoy throughout the day.

 

The Market

Don’t forget the Chamber’s outdoor Market is held every Friday night, 4 to 7 p.m. through Labor Day at Central Park, next to the Caboose in Twin Lakes. Locally grown produce, meats, and other items are available for purchase.
