Dennis Rodefer, a member of the Citizens for Growth in Silver Lake, will be hosting a learn to fish workshop and fishing expedition on Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7.
On Friday, Rodfer will be teaching Fishing 101 at the village hall from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. All children ages 5 to 15 are invited to attend.
Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. On Saturday, July 7, he will be taking the children fishing from 7 a.m. to noon.
This gives everyone time to have fun fishing and still enjoy the Fireman’s Festival. If you are interested, call Rodfer at 889-4500 to register.
Fishing gear is needed for this endeavor. Check your garage and storage sheds for that pole you no longer use, or some lures, bobbers, stringers, fishing line, hooks, and anything else that you may have that is still in working condition. Call Rodfer to arrange for pick up or drop off location or bring to the first day’s class.
