Twin Lakes Auxiliary to hold blood drive Oct. 25

The Twin Lakes American Auxiliary Unit No. 544 will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the American Legion Post No. 544, 989 Legion Drive in Twin Lakes.

The Blood Center of Wisconsin will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. Appointments are encouraged, however, walk-ins are welcome. Bring a photo I.D. at the time of donation. Refreshments will be served.

Contact JoAnn Maiter at (262) 448-1286, or the Legion at (262) 877-3669 for an appointment or for more information.

The Blood Center of Wisconsin is the sole proprietor for 55 Wisconsin hospitals. All donations will remain in the Racine and Kenosha areas.

You must be at least 17 years of age, weigh 110 lbs., and be in good health to donate blood.

One blood donation may save up to three lives. On average, every three seconds someone needs a blood transfusion. More than three million Americans will need a blood transfusion this year. It is impossible to get a disease from donating blood. Blood must come from one person to another. Come and see a resident whose life was saved by generous blood donors like you.
