Country Thunder hits Twin Lakes next week

Has your foot been tapping uncontrollably lately? Do you find yourself suddenly perusing the ad section of the paper that lists the pick ups for sale? Do you find yourself driving past the Country Thunder grounds, even though its empty and there is a hay crop where the camp ground will be?

You’ve got it. Country Thunder fever. That fever will be broke July 19 when the gates open for the first day of the four-day country music extravaganza.

This year’s line up includes Big and Rich on opening night. Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean on Friday, July 20 and on Saturday, July 21, Dwight Yokem and Blake Shelton are lined up to blow your boots off.

Sunday night Toby Keith will close the music festival with a 90 minute set.

In between there will be all kinds of other performers on stage and if that isn’t enough to keep you busy, there’s a large variety of vendors selling food, beverages, hats, jewelry and more.

Then there’s a slingshot that will shoot you into the air and the bucking bull who will bring you back to ground.

There’s some new services this year to make your visit a little more convenient. For a fee, there will be shuttles form hotels in Lake Geneva to and from the Twin Lakes festival grounds.
