During a special board meeting held earlier this month, the Twin Lakes Village Board hired Jennifer Pollitt as the new village administrator.

The position became available just months ago after longtime administrator David Cox accepted a position in the City of Hartland. Before he left Cox put the wheels in motion to help guide the board in finding qualified candidates.

Pollitt is currently chief of staff to the City of Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt.

According to the city’s website, Pollitt works with staff to develop policy and procedures. She is responsible for the annual budget preparation and chairs the Budget Task Force.

The website says she lobbies state and federal officials on behalf of the City and is the media point of contact for the Mayor’s Office. She also represents the mayor at various functions and meetings and is the mayor’s representative in labor relations.

She served three months as an intern for the City of Lake Geneva, developing the city’s policies and procedures manual.

She earned a master degree in public administration, local government management, public financial administration from Indiana University Bloomington.

She is expected to begin her job in Twin Lakes next month.
