Strong serving powered Westosha Central’s boys volleyball team past Burlington, 3-1, Thursday and into the WIAA state tournament.

The Falcons are scheduled to open state play at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee Friday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. against Racine Horlick. The winner advances to the semifinal at noon Saturday.

Westosha, led by Mike Michelau’s powerful jump serve and net play, dispatched Burlington on it’s home court, 25-23, 15-25, 25-16, 25-19, in the sectional final game.

See next week’s print edition of the Westosha Report for a full report on the sectional and a preview of the state meet.
