Oct. 21

Assist citizen

      • at midnight, a complainant called saying there was an older man trying to drive while intoxicated at a bar and restaurant on Lance Drive. The driver backed into the business sign. When officers arrived, they drove the subject home and gave his keys to his wife;

Domestic disturbance

      • at 11:25 p.m., police were called saying there were a man and a woman arguing on Wilmot Avenue with the female subject crying. Officers responded, and there was no evidence of a physical argument, just a verbal one. Subjects stated they would keep it down.

 

Oct. 22

Disorderly conduct

      • at 12:05 a.m., while walking an apartment complex on Wilmot Avenue, officers heard loud noise from a group of subjects having a campfire by the woods. Stating they would keep the noise level down, subjects were given verbal warnings for a loud party;

Domestic disturbance

      • at 12:56 a.m., a female complainant called the police, saying the arguing couple on Wilmot Avenue had started fighting again. Officers responded again and issued two citations to the female subject. She went to a friend’s house for the remainder of the evening;

Hit and run

      • at 2:26 a.m., an officer witnessed a vehicle strike another vehicle outside of a bar on S. Lake Avenue. Upon pulling the vehicle over, one subject fled while one remained. One male subject was taken into custody for OVWI;

Operating vehicle while intoxicated

      • at 2:43 a.m., on Burden Avenue, the pulled-over vehicle from the aforementioned hit and run was searched, and the driver was determined to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Subjects were taken in, cited, and released;

Harassment

      • at 4:50 p.m., a complainant came into the police station to report harassing text messages he had been receiving. Police verbally warned the person sending the text messages.

 

Oct. 23

Harassment

      • at 9:02 a.m., a female complainant on Wilmot Avenue called, stating that her girlfriend had been sending her harassing text messages. Officer responded to the scene and will be calling the subject to verbally warn her;

Traffic accident

      • at 5:12 p.m., on the intersection of Park Avenue and W. Hunt Avenue, a woman called saying that she had been struck by a vehicle and that the driver had fainted. Officers responded to the two-vehicle accident along with rescue.

 

Oct. 24

Criminal damage to property

      • at 11:09 a.m., a female complainant living on Willow Road called saying that last week someone had keyed her rear bumper of her car at night. She had heard laughing and screaming that night. Officers documented the damage, and there are currently no suspects at the time.

 

Oct. 25

Harassment

      • at 2:06 p.m., a woman on Wilmot Avenue called saying her husband who she is separated from was constantly calling and texting her. The responding officer was told that she just wanted her husband to stop and did not want to pursue charges. Officer attempted to call the subject to not avail. Officer will keep trying to make contact.

 

Oct. 26

Harassment

      • at 10:48 a.m., a business owner on S. Lake Avenue called in saying his employee has been receiving up to 15 harassing phone calls each day. Police responded and called the female subject making the calls. As requested by the complainant, the subject was warned;

Juvenile problems

      • at 6:52 p.m., a complainant called in saying there were juvenile subjects smoking cigarettes inside a caboose on Main Street. Officers spoke to juvenile subjects at the scene and found the window of the caboose had been broken. Later, police were called and advised a juvenile was attempting to get back into the caboose, but upon responding, subjects were gone;

Trespassing

      • at 9:36 p.m., on Main Street, an anonymous caller advised there were kids inside the caboose once more. Six subjects were located inside the caboose and were transported to the police department. They were all give verbal warnings for trespassing and released to their parents.
