Owners seek change of land designation

Town of Salem Plan Commission is holding a public heating at 6 p.m.  Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Town Hall, 9814 Antioch Rd., Salem, to consider a proposed amendment to the Land Use Plan Maps 23, 24, 25 and Appendix Map 8.9 of the Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Salem: 2035 and Land Use Maps 79, 101, and 102 of the Multi-Jurisdictional Comprehensive Plan for Kenosha County: 2035.

The purpose of the public hearing is to accept public comment on the proposed amendment.

An application has been filed by property owners George R. and Diane R. Propeck, 12501 280th Ave., Trevor, who are requesting the land use plan map be amended to change the planned land use designation on Tax Parcel No. 67-4-120-333-0200 from General Agricultural (A-2), Rural Cluster Single-Family (RC) and Primary Environmental Corridor to Countryside Single-Family Residential (R-1) and Primary Environmental Corridor.

This parcel is located on the southeast corner of 112th Street and 280th Avenue.

The public may review copies of the application and the comprehensive plan at the Salem Town Hall, Monday thru Friday during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and prior to the meeting. Interested parties may contact the Salem Land Development Coordinator (262) 862-2371 for additional information. The application is also posted on the Town’s website, www.townofsalem.net.

Written comments may be sent to the Town of Salem Land Development Coordinator, P. O. Box 446, Salem, WI 53168 and will be accepted up to the close of the Plan Commission Public Hearing on Nov. 28.

Upon completion of the public hearing, the Salem Plan Commission will convene to vote on the application
