Aurora Health Care support groups–Kenosha area

• Diabetes Support Group: This group is for adults with insulin or non-insulin dependent diabetes and their family/support person.  The purpose is to provide support and education to the person with diabetes to help manage this chronic disease. The group is facilitated by a registered nurse.

Aurora Health Center, 8348 Washington Ave., Racine. Meets the third Thursday of the month, April, June, August and October, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

• Cancer Support Group: Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha. Meets the second Monday of each month (except January, July and December), 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

• Stroke Support Group: The Stroke Support Group provides emotional support through opportunities to interact with others who have experienced stroke.  Informational programs will also be provided on topics related to stroke/brain attack.

This group welcomes both individuals newly diagnosed and those with a history of stroke. Family, friends and caregivers are also encouraged to join. Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha. Meets the fourth Monday of every month from 10 to 11:30 a.m.  (Conf. Room E).
