TOM A. PADDOCK

Tom A. Paddock, 50, and a lifelong resident of Paddock Lake, died unexpectedly Jan. 15, 2013, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus, Pleasant Prairie.

He was born July 3, 1962, in Waukegan, Ill., to Alva and Beverly (Johnson) Paddock.

Tom graduated from Salem Central High School, and later from UW Whitewater with a degree in Finance and Psychology. He had worked as a salesman at Lyons & Ryan’s Ford, Antioch, Ill., for 10 years before taking over Paddock State Farm Insurance, Paddock Lake, in 1994.

Tom was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, the Westosha Kiwanis Club (serving currently as vice president, and holding all offices at one point), and loved Wisconsin sports: Badgers, Packers, Brewers, and Bucks. Tom also enjoyed: boating, snowmobiling, golfing, traveling, gardening, grilling, and enjoying his off time.

On May 20, 1995, he married Laurie C. Thomas at Salem United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his wife Laurie; a son Nicholas J. Kraemer of Minneapolis, Minn.; his parents, Alva and Beverly Paddock of Paddock Lake; a brother Doug (Kathy) Paddock of Spring Grove, Ill., and a sister, Karen Dillow of Paddock Lake; in-laws Pamela and Randy Drier; sister-in-law MacKenzie (Jeffery) Szimanski; nieces and nephews, Stefanie (Donald) Curtis, Steven Paddock, Kristin Dillow, Justin Dillow, Skylar Szimanski, and Jax Szimanski; a great-niece and nephew Layla and Noah Curtis; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Strang Funeral Home, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Paddock Lake.
