Trevor man charged with possession of child porn

On Thursday, Jan. 31, special agents with the Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), along with deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, executed a search warrant at the home of Andrew J. Christensen, located at 25311 109th Street in Trevor.

On Friday, Feb. 1, Christensen was charged with six counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 20, at 8:30 a.m. in Kenosha County Circuit Court.

According to the Criminal Complaint, on Jan. 31, during the execution of the search warrant, a forensic preview of a computer hard drive belonging to the suspect uncovered videos consistent with child pornography. According to the Criminal Complaint, when asked by agents if Christensen knew why they were at this home, he indicated he knew why, stating agents were there “because he was downloading and looking at images of ‘bad things’ on the computer.”

Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office. A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
