Easter breakfast, egg hunts on the horizon

Easter Sunday is March 31 this year. That means traditional Eater events like egg hunts just weeks away. Remember, events start right on time. Don’t forget your baskets and cameras. Most events are outside, you might need snowsuits and boots!

• The Twin Lakes Country Club, 1230 Legion Drive, will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 30.

• The annual Easter Egg Hunt in Silver Lake will take place at Schmalfeldt Park, 498 E. Wisconsin Avenue,  on Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. This is a free event.

This event is for children ages 3 through 6.  The Easter Bunny will arrive via fire truck promptly at 11 a.m. This is a free event.

• The Village of Paddock Lake is changing things up a little bit. Because the weather is so unpredictable, Trustee Patricia Warner said instead of an egg hunt, there will be a full morning of games, treats, photos with the Easter Bunny, inside village hall, at 6969 236th Avenue.

Each child will receive a goodie basket.  There will be plenty of photo ops, so don’t forget your camera. This event is free.

• The Genoa City Lions are hosting an an-all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 23 at Brookwood Middle School, 1020 Hunters Ridge Drive, in Genoa City. Cost if $6 for adults, kids, 6 to 11, $4.

The Lions Easter Egg Hunt will begin with registration at 10 a.m. The egg hunt is free.

• You can have Breakfast with the Bunny on Saturday, March 30, at 9 a.m. A buffet style breakfast will be served, including: pancakes, sausage, donut holes, juice and coffee.

A special appearance by the Easter Bunny can be expected. The breakfast will be held in the Wruck Beach Pavilion inside Prairie Springs Park in Pleasant Prairie.

The cost for Breakfast with the Bunny is $14 per person and includes breakfast and a goody bag for each registered child. RecPlex members receive a $2 discount per person and children under two years of age are free.
