Zumbathon benefiting the JDRF set for CHS

On Friday, April 26, come for an evening of fun with Zumba Fitness, raffles and fun all while helping a great cause. The event starts at 7 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m. Participants can purchase tickets in advance (until 4/19) for $15 per person, or at the door for $20 per person. Can’t attend but still want to help? You can still purchase a ticket online, make a monetary donation or you can donate an item to the raffle or the silent auction.

The Zumbathon will take place at Westosha Central High School, 24617 75th St., Salem.

As the leader of the type 1 diabetes community, JDRF unifies global efforts to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D). JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes research. Driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers connected to children, adolescents and adults with this disease, JDRF is the largest charitable supporter of T1D research. Did you know: T1D is an autoimmune disease that comes on suddenly and strikes both children and adults at any age. T1D has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. Those living with T1D must carefully balance insulin doses with eating and daily activities throughout the day and night. Those living with T1D must test their blood sugar by pricking their fingers for blood six or more times a day.
