TLPD seeks help in recent window smash burglary

Twin Lakes police are asking the general public to help solve a robbery that occurred in the village at 3:18 a.m. April 9.

Officers responded to a window-smash burglary at the BP Gas Station 475 North Lake Avenue.

Chief Dale Racer said the suspect used a large rock to smash a window, then reached in and grabbed a small black box containing U.S. currency and miscellaneous U.S. coins.

The suspect fled on foot northbound from the scene. Videotapes from numerous business surveillance cameras in the area that show the suspect in action are being closely reviewed by police.

Chief Racer said Monday several leads have surfaced and are being pursued.
