Twin Lakes water patrol officers Brendan Calvert (left) and Thomas Wright bring the patrol boat in after a busy day on the twin lakes.  Over the long July 4 weekend Water Patrol estimated that there were more than 150 boats on the water for the fireworks Saturday night. Over the holiday weekend 28 contacts were made, 22 verbal warnings given and 14 citations were issued. Chief Dale Racer said there were no major incidents, and “everyone was basically well-behaved.” During the Operation Dry Water campaign and even with the Slow, No Wake issue on both lakes June 28-29, 31 contacts were made with 31 Slow, No Wake warnings; six other verbal warnings; issued four citations for miscellaneous violations. No arrests for Operating a Boat While Intoxicated. (Earlene Frederick photo)
