The Village of Silver Lake will host its tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at Schmalfeldt Park, 498 E. Wisconsin Avenue.
Silver Lake lights: The Village of Silver Lake is hosting its annual holiday lights and decorations contest. The contest is open to all homes within the village limits. Homes will be judged on creativity, theme and display. Make sure your lights and displays are illuminated by 5 p.m.
First place winner will be awarded a $50 Visa Gift Card from People’s Bank; second place, $40 gift certificate from Bianati’s Taste of Italy and the third place will receive a $30 gift certificate from Scully’s Silver Lake Grill. Judging will take place on tonight, Dec. 9 and Dec. 10.
