Community Chorus presents Handel’s ‘Messiah’

 

The Antioch Community Chorus, directed by Kris Bolin of Antioch, is very busy rehearsing for this year’s presentation of the Christmas section of Handel’s “Messiah” on Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 557 Lake Street in Antioch.

This concert, sponsored by Festival Arts of Antioch, is a Christmas gift to the Lake County area music lovers. Admission is free.

Soloists this year are: Melissa Cardamone of Kenosha, Wis., soprano; Jennifer Kasten of Two Rivers, Wis., soprano; Joseph Graziano of Glendale, Wis., tenor, and Nathaniel Olson of Vernon Hills, Ill., bass.

Chris Kusher of Grayslake, Ill., is the pianist, and  the Tim Montalvo String Ensemble and instrumentalists from the Lakes Area Community Band accompany the 60-voice chorus.
