ROBERT H. WRIGHT


Robert H. Wright, 48, of Genoa City, (Randall Township), died Dec. 9, 2011. He was born Dec. 20, 1962, in Chicago to Edwin H. and Jane P. (Sells) Wright.

He was raised in Harwood Heights, Ill., graduating from Maine South High School in 1981. On June 25, 1981, he married his soul mate and true love, Debra K. Huey.  Shortly after getting married, they made their home in the Twin Lakes area.

He provided for their lives as a machinist, a career he began on Oct. 28, 1979. The majority of his career was spent working for Pat-Lin Enterprises in Spring Grove, Ill.

Rob always considered this field a form of art and enjoyed many hours enhancing his skills in his basement shop. He enjoyed working with his hands and educating himself on a variety of subjects.

He also enjoyed many genres of music and the hobbies of fishing, playing guitar and Wii golf.  Rob’s first and foremost priority was spending time with his wife, children, and grandson.    He is survived by his wife Debbie; children Steven, 27, and Jennifer, 24, and was adored by his grandson Mason Paul. Rob, affectionately known to them as Bob, is also survived by his parents Edwin and Jane Wright; brothers and sisters Lee (Diane); Loreen (Bill Wegrzyn); Donald (Laura); Lisa (Bryan) Sloan; brother-in-law Kevin (Karen) Huey; sister-in-law Darla McManus; his No. 2 Jason (Katie) Dennis and nieces and nephews Rachel, Jenna, Shane, James, Jessica, Kayla, Seth, Emily, Caitlin, Connor, and Colin.

Rob was respected by many and will be remembered by other relatives and dear friends.

There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Rob’s life on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Homes, 620 Legion Drive, Twin Lakes.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. until the time of services.
