Trees on Parade to feature Racing Sausages

The Twin Lakes Chamber of Commerce decided to kick it up a notch for this year’s Trees on Parade event and they will be accomplishing it with the help of the infamous Klement’s Racing Sausages.

The Chamber’s annual Trees on Parade is Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 701 N. Lake Ave., Twin Lakes.

Santa will be visting Trees on Parade on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, from 3 to 5 p.m. Then head down Main Street for the cookie walk at 5:30 p.m. Stop in your Main Street Businesses for hot chocolate or a Christmas cookie.

Be out on Main Street at 6 p.m. to watch the Racing Sausages run down Main Street Saturday night, Dec. 7. They will be racing to the Community Christmas Tree next to the Caboose for the tree lighting, directed by Village President Howard Skinner and Santa Claus.

Trees on Parade will be open Friday, 4 to 8 p.m.  and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults, children 3 to 12, $1 and children under 3, free.

Vendors sought

Registration is now being accepted for vendors and crafters. Each 8 x 10′ booth is $50 for both days. Electricity is $5 more. Registration also open for tree entries.

Enter a decorated tree in one of these categories: Business, Prettiest, Themed, Traditional, or Junior (12 and under). Cost for Chamber members: $35; non-Chamber members: $40. You can also sponsor a tree for $50.
