Five members of the Westosha Central girls volleyball team and one from Wilmot recently were named to All-Southern Lakes Conference volleyball teams for 2013.

Leading the way for Central was senior outside hiter Danielle Rampart, who was named Player of the Year.

Rampart was joined on the first team by senior right-side hitter Ashley Jehlicka and senior libero Halie Hart. Senior middle blocker Maria Rasch was named to the second team, while junior Maddie Brown was named honorable mention.

Representing Wilmot was senior Lindsey Orre, who was voted honorable mention.

Central captured the SLC title with a 10-0 record, and then advanced to their record 19th WIAA Division 1 State Tournament earlier this month. The Falcons earned a spot in the finals, where they lost to top-ranked Menomonee Falls and posted a 45-9 overall record.

Rampart was among the team leaders in every statistical category. She finished first in kills (506), second in aces (49), tied for second in blocks (59) and was second in digs (441).

Ashley Jehlicka, in her final high school season, posted 145 kills for the Falcons, 47 aces, 47 blocks, 320 digs and 777 assists.

The final Central first-team selection, Hart, had 36 aces and a team-high 563 digs. She also had 104 assists.

Also this week, results of the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association voting were released, and Rampart, Hart and Jehlicka all were named to all-state teams.

Rampart, who was a second-team pick a year ago, was named to the first team in her final season. Both Hart and Jehlicka were third-team selections.

Wilmot finished 0-9 in conference play and was 3-31 overall.
