The Twin Lakes Police and Fire Departments joined forces Saturday morning to take some students from Lakewood Elementary and Randall Grade School on a special shopping trip called Shop with a Hero at the Lake Geneva Wal-Mart. Police and firefighters consider the kids the heroes. Each child is matched up with a firefighter or member of the police department for a shopping spree. As in year’s past, the children again put themselves at the bottom of the list and purchase items for their parents and siblings. The children are selected based on economic and social challenges.
