New Year’s Eve events set for Dec. 31

Ring in the New Year with one of the events being offered by various places around Southeast Wisconsin. The events include the following:

New Year’s Eve Celebration. Dec. 31.

This event takes place at Wilmot Mountain, 11931 Fox River Road in Wilmot. Many great activities for the whole family are planned for New Year’s Eve. The main attraction will be a dazzling professional fireworks display (weather dependent). Lay the first tracks on the slopes for 2012. The ski and snowboard area chair lifts will be spinning until 1 a.m. Ski and snowboard while bringing in 2012.

Live music from the band Loose Shoes will start at 8 p.m. Food and drink specials will also be offered. The Ski Patrol and Snow Sports School will be putting on a torch light parade on the slopes that will be sure to excite young and old alike. New Year’s Eve Family Fun and Cosmic Bowling. Dec. 31.

At GRC Bowl, 5411 Green Bay Road in Kenosha, have family fun for the New Year. Choose from: noon to 2:30 p.m., 3 to 5:30 p.m., or 6 to 8:30 p.m. Package includes a pizza, a pitcher of soda, and party favors.

Cost is $60 per lane with up to 6 people per lane. Pre-paid reservations only. Call (262) 658-8191.

From 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. there will be New Year’s Eve Cosmic Bowling. $14 per bowler for unlimited bowling. Pre-paid reservations only; you need a minimum of 4 bowlers to make reservation. Call (262) 658-8191 to make your reservations.

New Year’s Eve Family Fun Night. Dec. 31.

This event at the RecPlex, 9900 Terwall Terrace in Pleasant Prairie, is another way to ring in the New Year with your family. Admission includes a hot dog, drink, cookie, and custard from 8 to 9 p.m., open gym from 6 to 9 p.m., open skate from 6 to 8:30 p.m., open swim 6 to 8:30 p.m., and fun sports challenges and games. There will also be live music by Kevin Kamin. Win prizes at our famous “Balloon Drop” at the end of the night.
