The Wilmot and Westosha Central baseball teams combined to land 10 players on this year’s All-Southern Lakes Conference teams.

Leading the way for the Panthers, who won the SLC title at 12-2 and finished 23-4 overall, was Player of the Year Garrett Bogucki.

Joining Bogucki on the first team were Alec Haluzak, Evan Ketterhagen and Cam Loveless, while Nick Van Kampen was a second-team pick and Kyle Nixon was named honorable mention.

For the year, Bogucki, who also was a second-team, all-state pick, batted .431 (31 for 72) with 10 doubles, a triple, home run and 21 RBI.

While Bogucki led the offense, it was Haluzak who was among the Panthers’ stars on the mound.

Haluzak finished with a 7-1 record and a miniscule 0.32 earned run average, as he allowed just two earned runs in 44 innings of work. He walked 10 and struck out 64.

The Panthers’ last first-team pick, Ketterhagen, was 4-0 on the mound, with a 0.66 ERA, as he allowed just two earned runs in 21-1/3 innings and struck out 14.

At the plate, Ketterhagen batted .432 (35 for 81), with 21 runs scored, six doubles, three triples and 14 RBI.

Loveless hit .418 in his last high school season, as he collected 33 hits in 79 at bats. He also had three doubles, four triples and 10 RBI.

Wilmot’s last selection, Nixon, batted .299 (20 for 67), with 15 runs scored and 11 RBI.

Wilmot made a run at a state title in 2014, as the Panthers won a quarterfinal game over Middleton earlier this month but fell in the semifinals to eventual runner-up Kimberly.

Falcons place four

Westosha Central, which split a pair of games with Wilmot during the spring, landed four players on the three All-SLC teams.

Leading the way were first-team picks Brooks Gahart and Justin Barney, and they were joined by second-team selection Marshall Gilbert and his brother, Garrett, who was named honorable mention.

Final season statistics were unavailable this week.

Central was 18-9 overall and 9-5 in the SLC, good for a second-place tie with Burlington.
