It’s Fall Fest time at Community Baptist Church again.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. Pastor Cliff Hathock said that Community Baptist church members are geared up and ready to go.

“This is our third year and we have learned some things and done some tweaking and invite folks to come out and bring the family. Get to know us,” he said, “and allow us to show our love for this community.”

The church is located at 203 N. 4th Street in Silver Lake and the fun runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Northwater and 4th Streets will be closed from noon to 11 p.m. to allow for preparations and cleanup prior to and following the event.

When attendees arrive in the welcome tent, they will receive an orange ticket for a free brat or hot dog. Additional items will cost 25 cents. Deb Scully will be on hand with beverages for sale.

There will be free games for kids of all ages with candy prizes for winners, a large bouncy house and a smaller one for toddlers. Free hayrides will run through the village and s’mores can be made at the bonfire and other fire pits.

Silver Lake Rescue will have a vehicle available to check out and Pastor Hathcock will give tours through the church building to explore its history.
