All Saints Catholic School will take over Providence

A new Catholic School option will be available in the Town of Paris starting next year.

Providence Catholic School – a kindergarten through eighth grade school in Paris – will close at the end of the 2014-15 school year and reopen in the fall 2015 as a part of All Saints Catholic Schools regional model.

The decision to have Providence become a part of ASCS was the result of its financial challenges and an invitation by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to provide a viable option for Catholic education for Providence school families.

“Our discussions proved to be fruitful, and we are a good match for each other,” said Fr. Russ Arnett, pastor for Saint Francis Xavier and Saint John the Baptist, where Providence is located.

“Our prayer was to sustain Catholic education in this geographical area, and I can’t think of a better solution than to join this regional model that has been a proven success with ASCS,” Arnett added.

About the regional model

Within and supported by a regional model, ASCS receives support and financial subsidy from the 10 existing parishes in Kenosha.

With a north and south campus, the school is able to meet the needs of families who live as far south as northern Illinois, within the city and county of Kenosha and as far north as Racine County. Currently, pastors from every parish are represented on the School Board.

All Saints Catholic School will assume leadership of this new west campus school, as well as an existing childcare program – infant to preschool. All three locations of All Saints Catholic School will now have a program, “Saints in Training,” for early childhood learning and formation.

About All Saints Catholic School

All Saints Catholic School was established in 2011 when the four existing schools of St. Mary, St. Peter, St. Therese/Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Holy Rosary parishes merged to form what is now All Saints Catholic School. The school is supported by all 10 Kenosha parishes and has an enrollment that has grown from 350 students in its first year to over 580 students in its fourth year.
