Jan. 3

Trespassing

at 7:38 p.m., a complainant called from Wilmot Avenue saying there was a subject who was possibly a former employee at the location who was not supposed to be there. The officers did not find her on the property, but she later came into the station, saying that she is allowed on the property; she was not fired and also holds the liquor license for the location.

Jan. 4

Burglary

at 4:44 p.m., a complainant called in saying his girlfriend had been on School Street and found a window broken on a door. There was nothing missing, but the complainant could not stop at the location as he was being transported back to jail in Kenosha. A neighbor agreed to board up the window, and extra patrol was requested;

Interfering with child custody

at 12:38 p.m., a woman on Hickory Road called in saying she would need a squad to help pick up her daughter. She had court ordered papers stating she can have care of the daughter. Officers responded, and the child was turned over without any incident;

Disorderly conduct

at 10:15 p.m. a bartender from Touch of Class on S. Lake Avenue called in saying he had kicked a man out of the bar for being disorderly. The suspect also made derogatory sexual comments to some female patrons, with one stating that they may get in touch with a sexual harassment attorney. The subject was now standing across the street yelling at people at the bar. The cops came and found him at his residence where he denied making those comments. Officers gave him a verbal warning and told him to never return to Touch of Class.

Jan. 6

Disorderly conduct

at 8:02 a.m., a volunteer for Randall Consolidated School called in saying he was monitoring traffic when a motorist got upset with him. An officer responded and told the disorderly driver to obey the rules for safety reasons;

Drug possession

at 11:32 p.m., on Hunt Avenue, a man was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The subject was taken into custody, transported to the PD, cited, and given a ride back to his residence.

Jan. 7

Attempt to locate person

at 8:56 a.m., a man from Oak Street called and said there was a man at his house looking for his missing daughter. Her cell phone GPS location put her at this particular house. Officers responded and learned she may be with a girl on her soccer team. Units cleared after this information;

Continuation

The missing girl was found at an apartment on Wilmot Avenue. The missing juvenile came out of the apartment and was released to her parents.

Jan. 8

Suspicious person

at 2:37 a.m., an officer was passing the Beach Bar and saw several subjects still sitting at the bar. Subjects were also outside in the parking lot. It was apparent a fight had just been broken up. The officer also spotted two or three subjects running off, but he could not locate them. All the subjects left the area after that;

Juvenile problems

at 9:12 a.m. a complainant called into the station, saying there is a large group of kids who wait for their bus every morning on Arrowhead Drive. Because of a hill before Arrowhead Drive, the woman can never see them clustered on or around the street. The oncoming traffic cannot see over the hill as well. She requested that officers go there in the morning and warn the kids about this;

Trespassing

at 11 a.m., a homeowner’s daughter on Haerle Avenue called saying that the previous tenants had broken in and taken their belongings. An officer responded to take information. This kind of event can happen across the country, with some reporting weird happenings in abandoned or near-abandoned towns similar to this.

Tobacco violation

at 8:22 p.m., an officer observed two juveniles on Strickland Avenue at Main Street. The female was given a tobacco violation warning and turned over to her mother. The male was given a ride to where his mother was as well.

Jan. 9

Truancy

at 8:32 a.m., on Hillside Drive, a student was refusing to go to school. An officer responded to the home and could not get the boy to go to school. The boy at question will be referred to crisis and the school for a petition;

OAS

at 3 p.m., officers issued a traffic stop on Fairway Drive. The driver was found to be driving on a suspended license with no proof of insurance as well. The subject was issued warnings and citations, and the subject started resisting the officers.

Officers called for back up and struggled with the subject. The back up arrived, and the subject was taken into custody.

Jan. 10

Disorderly conduct

at 1:02 a.m., on Wilmot Avenue, a 911 call was transferred from a man saying his house was being threatened. Officers responded to the location, but the complainant informed them that the unwanted subject was gone for the night.

Jan. 11

Disorderly conduct

at 8:06 p.m., a complainant on E. Hunt Avenue called in, saying that there was constant pounding music and noise coming from the location and did not want to speak to an officer. Officers responded and did not hear anything too loud. Involved parties agreed to turn down their television.
