Twin Lakes police have taken a 25-year-old man into custody following a Christmas morning beating that left a 58-year-old Twin Lakes resident hospitalized in critical condition.

The 25-year-old man’s name was withheld by police Monday pending criminal charges as a result of the investigation into the beating of Thomas Eppers at a residence in 1100 block of Pebble Beach Court.

When Twin Lakes police and rescue personnel arrived at the residence shortly before 3 a.m., they discovered Eppers suffered severe head injuries, according to a Twin Lakes Police Department press release.

Eppers was airlifted by Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa from a Burlington hospital, the release said.

The release said the suspect was staying at the residence and knew the victim.

“It is still an ongoing investigation, and we are still interviewing those involved,” said Adam Grosz, Twin Lakes Police Chief.

Alyssa Rittorno, Eppers’ niece, created a GoFundMe page online to raise funds to help pay medical expenses.
According to the page, he is in critical condition and “suffered a brain hemorrhage, five shatter-like fractures, a broken jaw, broken ribs, a collapsed lung and multiple scalp wounds.”

Eppers, a father of four, will need facial reconstruction surgery when stable.

The 25-year-old was in the Kenosha County Jail earlier and is awaiting formal charges by the district attorney’s office, Grosz said.

Prayers for full recovery. Why was this man living in Eppers’ home? Is Garcia a legal citizen or illegal? Article is missing many facts.

No story ever has all the facts. Illegal or legal….. What does that have to do with anything?

agreed. inappropriate question if someone is actually concerned that man is fighting for his life.
