The Kenosha County Senior Dining Program hosts a nutrition program for older adults at noon, Monday through Friday, at the American Legion, 989 Legion Drive in Twin Lakes.
On some days, programs are scheduled and are noted below. Activities are offered daily from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and include card playing, horse pitching, puzzles, board games, and Wii games.
This program is open to anyone age 60 and older. All meals are by confidential donation.
Reservations must be made by 12:30 p.m., at least 24 hours prior, or one business day in advance. Call Linda at (262) 877-3503 between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Feb. 6 – 10
Monday – Sloppy joes, seasoned red potatoes, mixed vegetables, hamburger bun, chocolate chip cookie
11 a.m. Free blood pressure check by Aurora RN, Marcia Kehl
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wii-Bowling/Board Games/Card Games/Checkers/Puzzles
Tuesday – Cheesy broccoli chicken with rice casserole or cheese ravioli and meat sauce, butter beans, whole wheat roll, warm pear and cranberry crumble
10 a.m. President’s Day trivia
Wednesday – Meatloaf and gravy, mashed potatoes, Harvard beets, multi-grain dinner roll, pineapple tidbits
11:45 a.m. Friends Eat Free Lunch Day (friend(s) must be new to the lunch program)
Thursday – Diced pork pot roast, diced white potatoes, parslied carrots, wheat bread, apple pie
11 to 11:30 a.m. Chocolate Day – taste test assorted chocolates, chocolate fun facts
Friday – Ring bologna, baked potato, red cabbage, rye bread, mixed fruit Jell-O
