When Wilmot Union High School’s Michael Juech takes over the District Administrator position at Bristol School District, he will oversee a district with long-term stability, according to retiring administrator Gale Ryczek.

Ryczek announced his retirement at a January board meeting after serving the district for 29 years.

“In 52 years, they have had three District Administrators,” Ryczek said. “So it has been a stable district.”

Before his 29-year tenure as Bristol’s district administrator, Ryczek spent 11 years as guidance counselor and director of pupil services at Salem Grade School.

In 1986, he started his administrative career at Lake Geneva’s Reek Elementary, where he served for one year until he moved to the Bristol School District.

Ryczek’s replacement hopes to continue Bristol’s tradition.

“It is an exciting opportunity and I look forward to continuing to support the positive direction of the Bristol school community,” Juech said.

Juech, Wilmot’s Director of Teaching and Learning, has always had an interest in advancement after his experience on multiple levels of instruction and administration.

Previously, Juech was a school level administrator at Campbellsport Junior/Senior High Schools and Tomahawk High School.

He also was a middle school teacher in Grafton.

“Throughout my roles as a teacher, building level administrator and district-level administrator, I have developed an even greater understanding of the role and my desire to pursue a District Administrator position,” Juech said.

As he ventures onto the next level, Juech said he is fortunate for the WUHS administration and community for the support.

Additionally, he expressed gratitude toward the staff and students for their dedication.

“Wilmot has been a welcoming school community,” Juech said. “I am proud of the work that our students and staff have accomplished.”
