Sharing Center gears up for another school drive

The Sharing Center of Trevor helped 230 local children gather needed school supplies in its Annual Back-to-School Drive last year, according to a press release.

This year, the nonprofit organization is asking those in the community to do it again, as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

“We’re looking for people passionate about the sending the local kids back to school with the supplies they need,” the release said.

The Sharing Center is seeking local businesses to partner with them, placing a collection barrel for supplies or a jar for cash donations at their buildings.

Additionally, they are looking for 1-3 people to help run the back to school drive, stressing the importance of time, organization and planning.

The distribution is scheduled from July-August.

“Last year we provided 230 local children with the supplies they needed as well as a new pair of shoes, this year we can do better,” the release said.
