SANDRA ELDREDGE

Sandra (Eldredge) Flood, 73, of Hillsboro, Wis., died Feb. 14, 2012, at the Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wis.

She was born on March 29, 1938, to Charles and Dorothy (Harsha) Eldredge in Chicago. She grew up in Richmond, where she graduated from high school. She married to Bernard Flood and they raised seven children.

For the past 20 years she was organic vegetable farmer on her farm near Hillsboro.  She enjoyed the farming lifestyle and living in rural Wisconsin. Sandra also raised sheep, which produced wool that she included in her many projects.

Survivors include her loving family of children, William “Bill” (Priscilla) Flood of Stoughton, Wis.; Katherine (Mary) McAfee of Naperville; Dorothy Flood of Necedah, Wis.; Mark (Patty) Flood of Phoenix, Ariz.; Matthew Flood of Waunakee, Wis., and David Flood of Madison; daughter-in-law, Caren Flood of South Carolina; grandchildren Evan, Cody, Nathan, Ben, Scott, Stacy, Stephanie, Christina, Merritt, Travis, Audrianna and Aiden; great-grandchildren, Kelsi and Ricky; and sisters, Marjorie MacArthur of New York and Patricia (Mike) Fitzmaurice of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Flood and grandson, Isiah.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home, 908 Prairie Avenue, Hillsboro, Wis., with a service beginning at 4 p.m.
