Based on Saturday’s attendance at the annual Kenosha County Dairy Breakfast, Rachael Crane of Crane Dairy LLC was more than thrilled, noting the event exceeded her expectations.

Crane Dairy LLC, a third generation farm that opened in 1948, houses more than 200 cows consisting of Holstein, Brown Swiss, Jersey, Guernsey and Dutch Belted and sprawls 700 acres.

The farm brought in 3,659 people from around the region and state, 116 short of the record set in 2014 when Weis-Way held the event.

Crane, the Kenosha County Dairy Ambassador for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, stated the attendance exceeded her projections.

“Every year, I order all of the food for the event, we always shoot for 3,000-3,500,” she said. “Anytime we fall within those parameters, we are thrilled.”

Crane Dairy LLC has hosted the event five times since 1992, most recently in 2010 and Saturday.
