Konwent, a senior catcher from Westosha Central, was named to the first team with Hrncar, the Lady Falcons’ junior pitcher, and first-timer Chy Onstad.

Adding to the list of first-time honorees was Wilmot Union High School junior shortstop Kalyssa Koehn, a second-teamer, and Riley Regnier, a junior Lady Panthers’ first baseman.

“It feels good to be recognized, I have never gotten anything like this before, thank you to all the coaches for picking me,” Koehn stated.

Meanwhile, the Lady Falcons trio produced stellar numbers, earning a spot on the first-team.

Onstad, who hit .475, collected a team-leading 11 doubles, eight home runs and 42 runs for the Lady Falcons, knocked in 35 runs, second to junior Kira Mickelson, who had 39.

The first-team honor capped of a memorable career at Westosha Central for Onstad.

“There’s so many memories of Central,” Onstad said. “My favorite memory was from junior year and the trip up to state! Other than winning State last year, we spent a lot of time together and one thing we did while up at the State Tournament was go Laser tagging.”

Konwent, meanwhile, walked a whopping 48 times in 105 plate appearances, but still belted six home runs with 32 RBIs and had six doubles.

The catcher hit .509 for the season.

Opposing pitchers only struck out Onstad three times while Konwent had two.

Like Onstad, it gives Konwent another memory to look back on.

“The support I have received from administrators, not only for softball, but academically as well (is notable),” she said.

Hrncar produced 12 shutouts in 22 appearances accumulating an 18-3 record through 116 1/3 innings.

Additionally, she also allowed 19 earned runs for an ERA of 1.14, struck out 148 hitters and walked 18.

At the plate, Hrncar hit .448 with 29 runs scored, collected two triples and had 20 RBI as the leadoff hitter.

For Wilmot, Koehn and Regnier were the doubles leaders, with Koehn collecting 11 while Regnier had 14.

In addition, Koehn had a team-leading 38 runs, three triples and 36 RBI, hit four home runs, batted .495 and her eight stolen bases were second to senior Sam Schloegl, who had 12.

Koehn credited coach Pat Dopke for setting the team up for success her junior season.

“Coach Dopke did a really a good job of putting people in the right places,” Koehn said. “Sam Schloegl and Montana Platts did a great job of getting on base so Riley, Anna Devall and I could hit them in!”

Regnier finished her junior season tied with Hayli Richards for the team-lead in home runs with six, added two triples, drove in 34 runs and batted .489.

Regnier’s honorable mention came on her first year as a member of the Lady Panthers’ varsity team.

“She was on junior varsity last year, so I didn’t know a lot about her,” Koehn said. “But I think she has gotten much better.”

Other key Southern Lakes Conference performers on the list were Delavan-Darien senior Jennah Speth, named Division 2 Player of the Year, in addition to first-team honors.
