Westosha Central junior Alyssa Hrncar has verbally committed to play softball for Division 2 University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Hrncar, a first-team all-state last year, confirmed her commitment with the Westosha Report Sunday.
The incoming senior, who tossed 116 1/3 innings last year, struck out 148 hitters and walked just 18.
Additionally, she blanked opponents in 12 games, and compiled 18 complete games for an 18-3 record.
Her contributions went beyond the mound, serving as the Westosha Central leadoff hitter, batting .448 with an OPS of 1.006.
The pitcher joins a long list of Lady Falcons expected to play at various colleges, starting with recent graduates Kayla Konwent, who will play at UW-Madison and Chy Onstad, a future UW-Green Bay athlete.
Furthermore, Elaine Andersen expects to play for Carroll University in Waukesha.
Along with Hrncar, fellow incoming senior classmate Kira Mickelson is a verbal commit to Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
