Feb. 13

Animal Welfare Check

• At 8:24 a.m., an anonymous caller requested that officers check on the welfare of a dog at a residence on Chapel Avenue.

The animal has been seen outside all the time in a pen with no shelter. An officer followed up with the owner, who stated he would put up an outside shelter for the animal. The dog appeared to be OK;

Animal noise complaint

At 10:45 a.m., a caller complained about excessive animal noise at a residence on Bayview Avenue. The owner was turned into the police department;

Animal at large

At 11:09 a.m., a complainant called to report a black and white collie-type dog running in his yard. An officer took the dog to the kennel, where he was later released to his owner;

Warrant pickup

At 1:52 p.m., Kenosha County requested that an officer assist in a felony warrant pick-up at a residence on Park Avenue. Officers were dispatched and were able to successfully take the subject into custody and subsequently turned over to the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department;

Assist citizen

At 3:33 p.m., a complainant on Mary Knoll Court stated her grandfather sent her a threatening text message. An officer followed up and determined the message was not threatening and gave the complainant advice if she had any further problems;

Feb. 14

Truancy

At 11:16 a.m., a school truancy officer called to request officers check a residence on East Lakeshore Drive to attempt to locate a female student who failed to register with and show up for classes at Wilmot High School. No one answered and the officer left notice that someone should call Wilmot High School regarding this issue;

Disorderly conduct

At 7:56 p.m., a complainant called from a residence on Holy Hill Road to report that a fight was going on upstairs between what sounded like two males, and that a door may have been kicked in.

Three officers were dispatched and made contact with a male subject who said he kicked in the door because he locked himself out of his apartment and was then arguing with someone on the phone.

Officers also met with the subject’s wife outside when she got home and advised that there were no problems.
