On a Star-Spangled Summer opening night at the Kenosha County Fair, where the Fairest of the Fair has been crowned, a new feature offered a fresh perspective for some in attendance Wednesday in Wilmot. The Kenosha County Fair has horse pulling, sheep on show and farm equipment for all to enjoy. Most of the farm equipment at the event can be found online at fastline.com. Let us know in the comments what you thought of the event!

With hundreds of onlookers, the Wisconsin Horse Pullers Association presented a show closer to home, according to Wheatland resident Andrew Lois.

“I went to the State Fair to watch it, now it is here, more convenient,” Andrew Lois stated.

Andrew’s wife, Deb, stated the feature satisfies her love of animals and by all appearances, draws in more people.

“Looks like there is a lot of interest,” Deb Lois said. “I think it’s something new and something different that we haven’t seen for awhile.”

“I like horses and I like animals,” she said.

The County Fair has four more days left with a 8 a.m. Thursday opening.

Below the photos is the schedule for the rest of the County Fair.
