BOYS SOCCER: Poco, Mendez provide punch for Panthers

WilmotLarge-webAnthony Poco knocked in another hat trick for the Panthers, who improved to 2-1-1 for the season, after a 1-1 split at the Monroe Quad Saturday.

Poco, a junior, posted his first hat trick of the season in the Aug. 23 5-2 season opening win against Kenosha St. Joseph’s.

Senior Jon Mendez added the other two goals in the season-opening win.

Meanwhile, in the Monroe Quad, the Panthers dropped a 4-2 decision to Jefferson, but won against Richland Center behind Poco’s hat trick.

Poco has eight goals in four games for Wilmot Union High School.
