breakingnewsAlcohol and speed could be a factor

Speed and alcohol may have contributed to a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Brighton Sunday, when a man crashed his 2002 Jeep Cherokee into a tree in the 24440 block of County NN, according to a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department news release.

When Kenosha County authorities arrived to the scene at about 12:30 a.m., they discovered a Jeep had struck struck a tree, where a man and sole occupant was pronounced dead by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The crash, which reportedly occurred near a curved portion of Highway NN, west of Highway 45, also received assistance from Town of Salem Fire and Rescue personnel.

“Speed and alcohol are believed to have contributed to this crash,” the release stated. “The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.”

This crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information on this crash is encouraged to call the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department at 262-605-5100
