Alexis Peterson, a former Riverview student and current Wilmot Union High School freshman recently made her hosting debut on WisconsinEye.
WisconsinEye, a nonprofit organization launch in 2007, gives Wisconsin residents a nonpartisan look at unedited coverage of public policy debate and actions of elected officials modeled after C-SPAN, according to the Facebook page.
According to Stacy Evans of Riverview School, WisconsinEye invited Peterson to join a new initiative geared towards younger children after her Project Citizen presentation in Madison, where she was discovered as a 7th-grade student.
“WisconsinEye, who was there filming, was so impressed with her presentation that they asked her to act as a host/presenter for the new videos they were creating for 4K and Elementary students,” Evans stated in an email.
